House receives all required data on Bank Century: Mulyani |

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati says she has submitted all the
data requested by the House of Representatives’ inquiry committee on
the Bank Century case.
"We have sent all of the data yesterday (Monday)," she said after a plenary session at the House on Tuesday.
She added that the ministry was willing to fully cooperate with the committee should its members require more data in connection with a decision to bail out the bank in November 2008.
Mulyani authorized the bailout, worth Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million), in November 2008 along with then Bank Indonesia governor Boediono, who is the current vice president. The amount of the bailout was increased tenfold from the original estimate.
Previously, the committee chairman, Idrus Marham from the Golkar Party, said the committee had yet to receive the data demanded on the Bank Century case from the Finance Ministry.
One of the committee deputy chairmen, Gayus Lumbuun of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), said Monday the committee would forcibly seize the data if the ministry remained uncooperative.(JP/IP)
