RI President leaves New York |

(09/28/2007) NEW YORK - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Thursday afternoon (local time) left New York after paying official visits for four days and attending the 62nd UN general assembly and a summit meeting on climate change besides making a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts of other countries.
The president and Mme Ani Yudhoyono as well as the entourage left international airport John F Kennedy, New York, aboard a presidential aircraft Airbus A 330-341/PK-GPA. The president`s aircraft took off the airport at 1.30 local time and was expected to arrive at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Saturday (Sep 29) at 3.25 am. On its trip to Jakarta, the president`s aircraft will make technical landings in Vancouver, Canada and Tokyo, Japan. On Wednesday, the president still had several activities including his presence at a function launching Global Business Plan of the Network of Global Leaders for Millennium Goals 4 and 5 besides holding bilateral meetings with Iran`s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Palestine`s President Mahmoud Abbas.(Ant/PAB) |
